Job Overview

3i-Infotech is looking for a proactive and technically sound DC-IT Monitoring Engineer to join our infrastructure operations team. This role will be responsible for 24x7 monitoring of global IT infrastructure and applications, responding to alerts, and ensuring prompt incident escalation and resolution in accordance with SLA commitments.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive P1/P2 incidents and manage critical issue resolution as per escalation matrix.
• Monitor and maintain global IT infrastructure, including:
• Telecommunications circuits
• Routers and network devices
• Servers and storage systems
• Monitor enterprise applications, services, URLs, and middleware using standard monitoring tools.
• Take immediate action on alerts and potential risks following defined SOPs to maintain customer SLAs.
• Log, document, and escalate incidents and potential risks to L2/L3 specialists using ITSM tools.
• Ensure 24x7x365 operational coverage by working in rotational shifts.

Required Skills

• Hands-on experience in network and system monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, Zabbix, SolarWinds, PRTG, etc.)
• Understanding of ITIL processes, incident and escalation management
• Basic knowledge of networking, server management, and middleware technologies
• Ability to work in a high-pressure, multi-tasking environment
• Strong communication skills and ability to follow standard procedures effectively

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a NOC (Network Operations Center) or Data Center environment
• Familiarity with ITSM tools like ServiceNow, Remedy, or Jira Service Desk
• Certifications in Networking (CCNA) or ITIL Foundation is a plus
